Lindsay's Family

I took these pictures a long time ago and never posted them. I was just thinking about them and thought I should post a few.

Lindsay was pregnant....

...she also had a 5 month old.

Adorable little Lucy was adopted. During the adoption process for Lucy, Lindsay got pregnant.

So, she was amazingly blessed with two beautiful babies. I'm only slightly jealous. Not only do I have the heart for adoption but she practically got twins. Fun.

Here is baby Addison.

Thankful. A Little Story.

I'm Thankful I have such a beautiful little girl.
No trip, anywhere, is without lots of interruptions of people wanting to look at Ellie,
 talk to her
and tickle her feet.

Sometimes I feel guilty when I just want to get through the store as fast as possible. Ellie makes people happy so why should I hurry along. If they want to enjoy her I should be grateful.

I would say majority of stoppers are Grandmas, but mostly women in general.

But my absolute favorite stopper/lookers are the men. Grandpa's are the cutest. Especially when they are alone (no Grandma to influence them). I often get asked what aisle I got her on. Haha. And they mostly stop when Ellie is just smiling and talking to them as we roll by. It makes them happy.

The other day, at Target, I was in the dollar section and I could hear Ellie talking away to someone. This was one of those times where I didn't really acknowledge the person. I was shopping. I turned around to check on Ellie and the guy (middle aged, probably a dad, not my normal stopper) looked at me in the eyes and so sincerely said, "She is so beautiful." I thanked him and we parted ways.

We walked around Target a little bit and ended up in the toy section. I was checking the clearance toys and Ellie made such a giddy happy squeal. That guy was there again and says to Ellie, "Well, hello again." He laughed at her crazy sounds and said to me, "There is nothing better than a happy baby!!" He smiled in aw and walked away.

I don't know why this interaction impacted me so much. Maybe it was the fact he is not my usual store stopper or maybe it was his genuine comments. But either way, it made my day.

I'm so grateful to have such a beautiful baby who makes people so happy.

Love you little Ellie girl.

Finishing up August

Some random pictures from August (Ellie is still 8months):

I left her for a second (or two) and came back to see her playing with her books. So I left again, for another second, to get my camera. Such a sweet thing to see.

Ellie isn't really into sitting still while I read. She rather just grab the book and eat it. However, this one time on the floor, she was laying and watching the pages as I read. *Cue heart melting*

Getting into her toys.

James was eating chips the other day and he goes, "Melissa, watch this." He would take a bite, Ellie would get in real close and LICK his mouth. It was so funny. So we made her do it again a few times so we could get pictures.

Always a wonderful helper. This was the first time she's actually climbed into/onto something. When she stands up next to things I can see her little legs move like she just wants to climb up into it, so I'm pretty sure she was proud of herself here.

9 months old

9 months ago...I was 38 weeks pregnant with Ellie, then she was born.
 Best Day Ever.

"Daddy's Pride and Joy"

"Daddy Loves Me, He Loves Me Not, He LOVES Me!"
Ellie loves getting into things and especially loves playing with rocks, grass, dirt, leaves and flowers.
 {and eating them}

"Vintage-Flower-Faces"
You can tell in these pictures that Ellie's personality has taken off. Proof with the number of different faces she makes.

"Chalkboard"

"Momma's Brown-Eyed Beauty"
Ellie's details.

"9 Month Monthly Update"
15lbs 1oz (6%) 25in long (0%)
Ellie continues to be petite. She is following her own curve perfectly though.
Ellie is meeting all her milestones. I could list everything that she does that is cute, but that would be one long list. She makes us very happy though with each new cute thing she does.
She started clapping her hands together today.

"From Our Family to Yours"

P.S. It's 100% Ellie's fault there are so many pictures. She is just so darn cute.
