Thankful. A Little Story.

I'm Thankful I have such a beautiful little girl.
No trip, anywhere, is without lots of interruptions of people wanting to look at Ellie,
 talk to her
and tickle her feet.

Sometimes I feel guilty when I just want to get through the store as fast as possible. Ellie makes people happy so why should I hurry along. If they want to enjoy her I should be grateful.

I would say majority of stoppers are Grandmas, but mostly women in general.

But my absolute favorite stopper/lookers are the men. Grandpa's are the cutest. Especially when they are alone (no Grandma to influence them). I often get asked what aisle I got her on. Haha. And they mostly stop when Ellie is just smiling and talking to them as we roll by. It makes them happy.

The other day, at Target, I was in the dollar section and I could hear Ellie talking away to someone. This was one of those times where I didn't really acknowledge the person. I was shopping. I turned around to check on Ellie and the guy (middle aged, probably a dad, not my normal stopper) looked at me in the eyes and so sincerely said, "She is so beautiful." I thanked him and we parted ways.

We walked around Target a little bit and ended up in the toy section. I was checking the clearance toys and Ellie made such a giddy happy squeal. That guy was there again and says to Ellie, "Well, hello again." He laughed at her crazy sounds and said to me, "There is nothing better than a happy baby!!" He smiled in aw and walked away.

I don't know why this interaction impacted me so much. Maybe it was the fact he is not my usual store stopper or maybe it was his genuine comments. But either way, it made my day.

I'm so grateful to have such a beautiful baby who makes people so happy.

Love you little Ellie girl.
